The entire insane decade-long US Deep State and neocon attempt to make Ukraine a helpless colony and a military spear to drive through the heart of Russia is over. It has been abandoned. It is dead.
President Joe Biden, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan know this – at long last and after squandering needlessly the lives of half a million Ukrainian boys and young men for nothing in the past year alone.
These are the blindingly clear lessons of Biden’s undignified, fake-populist bungled demagogue State of the Union speech on Thursday night, March 7. His only reference to Ukraine was to blame the big bad Republicans in the House of Representatives for blocking his latest would-be $60 billion arms and ammunition package to Kiev. As if that would have made the slightest bit of difference anyway.
Only two days before, the prophetess and driving “visionary” force behind this entire insane, ghastly bungled misadventure, Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs Victoria Nuland announced her resignation. She will be replaced, at least for the moment, by yet another of the endless proliferating tribe of useless neocons, John Bass.
Unlike Nuland, Bass does not even pretend to know anything about Eastern Europe and Ukraine. But his experience tells you everything you need to know about what is going to happen next.
For Bass was US ambassador to Kabul during the catastrophically bungled, panic-stricken, entirely taken by surprise collapse of the US-backed regime in Kabul after 20 costly, bloody wasted, exhausting years to the victorious Taliban. In August 2021, the Taliban roared into Kabul on the same kinds of cheap, easily available, commercially bought pick-up trucks that Hamas used to humiliate the mighty Israeli Army and slaughter up to 1,400 Israeli civilians on October 7.
Israel was taken by surprise on October 7, 2023. Two years earlier the entire Biden administration was taken totally by surprise by the fall of Kabul: They should not have been.
The collapse had been accurately predicted in great detail by the Pentagon’s own watchdog on Afghan affairs, the first class and genuinely honest and accurate Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction – SIGAR.
Because I bothered to read the relevant SIGAR report after it was published in the spring of 2021, I scooped the entirely bovine pack of grazing Beltway “journalists’ on the New York Times, The Washington Post, CBS, MSNBC, The Hill, Politico and the rest of the dreary Usual Suspects. Not that any of them noticed.
Now I offer another scoop. Kiev will fall into Russian hands by September at the latest. More likely that could even happen within a month or two from now.
Nuland’s resignation – forced or deliberate and no doubt half of each – makes that inevitable. She came back from Kiev two weeks ago full of her latest infantile, insane baby-fantasy fairy tale “strategy” of getting Germany to militarily intervene on behalf of the Kiev regime. There was, she happily publicly and repeatedly boasted – a “nasty surprise” coming to the Russians.
Now it should not be a good idea under any circumstances for the Number Three diplomat in the United States to publicly boast and gloat that she had lined up a “nasty surprise” that would potentially cost the blood and lives of thousands or more soldiers of the world’s ranking number one thermonuclear superpower, capable of destroying the United States a thousand times over.
But Nuland did it anyway.
And she also gave her blessing to replacing Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief General Valerii Zaluzhnyi, the butcher of a generation of his country’s young men, with a new Great White Hope, General Oleksandr Syrskyi, about whom she pronounced herself well pleased.
Yet only two weeks later, Nuland was gone, and her immediate successor, Bass was clearly chosen for one reason and one reason only. His bosses in Washington are convinced – and clearly with good reason – that Ukraine is about to collapse and even they have finally woken up to the fact that none of Nuland’s farcical stunts and mad schemes can possibly do anything to save it.
Who, then, did they appoint to succeed her in the State Department? The most experienced figure they have got in organizing a panic-stricken scuttle-and-run from a client state about to collapse and be overrun.
That is the one and only reason John Bass was appointed to succeed Nuland. That is the true meaning of the Writing on the Wall of the Biden administration’s insane adventure in Ukraine loyally following President Barack Obama before him.
“Mene, Mene Tekel Upsharin” – as the Book of Daniel in the Holy Bible so memorably puts it.
“You have been weighed in the balance and found wanting.”
Only half a year later, Biden, Blinken and Sullivan, along with Nuland of course, succeeded in provoking Russia into moving militarily against Ukraine and then did everything they could – successfully – to squelch the very real prospects for a rapid end of hostilities on Russia’s terms.
Instead, Biden and his Gang successfully conned the publics of the United States and its allies into sending a rapidly equipped, almost untrained Ukrainian army with useless leaders and even worse American “advisers’ telling them what to do. The outcome was a bloodbath defeat on a scale not seen in Europe for 80 years.
Until a few weeks ago, Biden, Blinken and Sullivan still drank Nuland’s delusional Kool-Aid poison to fantasize that “just one more push”: would make Russia collapse as a house of cards. But the house of cards that is collapsing is theirs.
Nor will it stop or end with the fall of Ukraine. The insane, remorseless, evil, aggressive, delusional, mad decisions of the Biden administration over the past two years – protected, enforced and covered uncritically by the entire political establishment in Washington and by the US Deep State – cannot be stopped or reversed now. Profound forces have been set in motion that non one in Washington dreams of.
Having lost 83,000 dead of their own in this war that they previously sought for eight years in vain to avert, and thereafter to quickly end, the victorious and outraged Russians will not stop now.
Far, far worse is coming to America and Western Europe: And the useless incompetent whining clowns supposedly Running Things in Washington haven’t a clue how to stop it.
