Ukraine War Day #871: Zelensky Not Irreplaceable – Part II

And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me. And they were exceeding sorrowful, and began every one of them to say unto him, Lord, is it I? And he answered and said, He that dippeth his hand with me in the dish, the same shall betray me. (Matthew 26)

Dear Readers:

Now that we have read that top-secret SVR cable, For Her Majesty’s Eyes Only, it seems simple enough, but we still need a man like Alexander Grishin to help us interpret what we just read. So, there is this analytical piece from KP.

“Nobody is indispensable,” as one of my old bosses once taunted me, as I stormed out the door, leaving nothing behind except the stench of burning bridges.

Or, in the words of President Biden’s Vice-President Donald Trump, “YER FIRED!” Is that what will happen to Zelensky? Possibly…

Grishin starts by quoting the cable in full, which we, just yesterday, already read and translated into perfect English. So we can skip that part of the article.

Next, Grishin goes into more detail about the 5 “candidates” whom the U.S. considers grooming as a replacement for Zelensky.

In the Service Of His Majesty’s Secret Service

Before Grishin mentions Zaluzhny, it behooves me to bring this to your attention, from the Ukrainian newspaper STRANA. We have all been busy mocking the Big Guy for sulking in his tent, like Achilles, and not speeding off to London to start his new gig as Ukraine’s Ambassador.

Well, he did go. Finally. This photo shows General Zaluzhny (dressed rather nicely, for a change, in a big blue suit) reporting for duty in London. Here is what Zaluzhny wrote in his Facebook (in Ukrainian), but STRANA helpfully translated into Russian so I was able to read it:

I continue to serve Ukraine. I have begun to perform my duties as the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. I handed copies of my credentials to the Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps, accredited to the Royal Palace, who heads the structural unit for protocol of the Foreign Office, Victoria Busby.

We see from Busby’s page that “Vic”, as she is called by both friends and enemies, is an OBE, awarded in 2019. I googled that and learned that it stands for “Others Buggers Efforts“. Moving on…

Zaluzhny & Victoria Busby, OBE

Now that General Zaluzhny is safe in London (well, as safe as he can be, given that ne’er-do-wells like Petrov/Boshirov are running around smearing Novichok everywhere), we can focus on the other four candidates whom “Stoun” names as possible replacements for Zelensky:

  • Poroshenko
  • Klichko
  • Yermak
  • Razumkov

If I accomplish nothing else in this series, it will be to learn (and spread the knowledge to my readers) who the heck is Razumkov?
