“When Washington says, “Jump”, and London says, “How high?’ or “The Folly of Britain’s “Special Relationship”

We have seen a number of biblical quotes recently referring to events in connection with the conflict in Ukraine, most notably within the last few days when Dmitry Medvedev quoted from Psalms 58:10 regarding the fate he believes will await Europe.

Closer to home, I can see the UK Prime Minister, sitting at the foot of Jo Biden, quoting that speech of heart wrenching fealty made by Ruth, to her mother-in-law, in this particular scenario, as played by Grandpa Jo.

“Do not urge me to leave you or to return from following you. For where you go I will go, and where you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people, and your God my God. Where you will die I will die, and there will I be buried. May the Lord do so to me and more if anything but death parts me from you”.  Wow, that is powerful stuff. That is devotion, one might even say blind devotion, but this is how I see London’s position with regard to Washington and the war in Ukraine.

It does not seem to matter that the potential consequences of Westminster’s actions in Ukraine could spell absolute disaster for the people of the UK – Starmer and his totally inept and deluded gang of rabble, also known as the government, are at pains to do just about anything that Washington desires of them, from the possibilities of putting British boots on the ground in Ukraine, to continued involvement in the launching of missile attacks into Russian territory, and perpetrating terrorist activities against the military and indeed civilian population of the Russian Federation.

We now read of intelligence reaching the media which suggests that Washington, in league with their little puppy dog, the UK, will be cooperating with known terrorist organisations to disrupt Russia’s military bases in Syria, in an effort to push them out of the country. And why might this be? Well, of course, so that the US might continue to steal oil from Syria as they have been for the past several years in the mineral rich east of the country!! Russia is certainly upsetting Uncle Sam’s plans of continued global domination, and we, the British, are right down there in the dirt with Washington supporting their deadly games, apparently oblivious to the possible deadly consequences which will be born by the population of this small island of ours. This, by the way, without any reference whatsoever to the will of the British people. This is Iraq all over again, but this time, the bought and paid for media in the UK has done a much better job of keeping the people in the dark, which is the only reason Starmer and his rag tag government are getting away with playing these dangerous games, and, for whose benefit exactly?

As a British citizen, I am embarrassed every time I read about our security and intelligence services apparent involvement in what can only be described as terrorist activities in support of a criminal regime in Kiev. This blind support of the NATO ‘proxy war’ is not just totally unjust, it is shameful, in full knowledge that this country is supporting a totalitarian government which is actively promoting Nazi ideals, without even bothering to hide the fact. It is beyond belief.

Forget about Canada being the 51st US State as the Orange One hints at – the UK is already the 51st State. Starmer has already sold out the British nuclear deterrent to Washington. We are totally reliant on the US having signed an agreement with Washington which basically gives them control over our nuclear arsenal – the defence of our country. Is it surprising that when Washington says, “Jump,” London says, “How high?” But it is really far more than this. I do not think we should be kidding ourselves that our government is by any means being coerced. No. I am afraid that the British government is acting in tandem with the US, to the point where I might go so far to say that there will be instances where in fact we are taking the lead – making the judgement calls – initiating the operation – to the degree where we are actually physically taking part in operations which can only be described as acts of terrorism. Shame on us. Perhaps, however, these covert operations are acts of expediency, but I for one would certainly be keen to know the logic behind these decisions, as I am sure would the British public. After all, is the government not supposed to be acting in OUR name?

Therein, however, lies the problem, and this is not a problem restricted to that of the British people. These unilateral decisions being taken by governments throughout the NATO member states do not serve the interests of the people they are supposed to represent. They serve only the interests of Washington and the cabal of faceless, unelected elites who infest the corridors of power on Capitol Hill, whose sole motivation is the continuation of American hegemony – the unipolar global order.

The UK needs to break free from this stranglehold which threatens the very existence of its people. Unfortunately, I cannot see how this can be achieved any time soon. This government has not only affirmed its support of the US position, but it also has in fact become more pro active in the operational sense. Of this, we can be quite certain.

As the US continues to implode under the Trump administration, Europe will drift further towards the abyss as economic and social woes continue to plague them – the result of years of the infamously failed great liberal experiment. Europe, much like the United States, drifts aimlessly, rudderless, failed by the EU, as the UK stands on the sidelines, watching, with a sense of déjà vu, having witnessed the crumbling of her own Empire, and those of her European neighbours.

Maybe we have all been under the illusion that this close relationship we believe we have with the US has actually benefitted us in some way, yet when we look back, any benefits gained have all been one sided. We have all danced to the tune of the piper – we have all been made in the image of our puppet master. Now the music has stopped, and the strings are being cut, London still behaves like some deluded sycophant, doing the dirty deeds on behalf of a master whose own sense of loyalty to his former serfs is nothing short of contemptible.

The UK, and indeed Europe as a continent, turned its back on its own in favour of an ally across the ocean whose main interests lay firmly on its own doorstep. Russia has more than a geographical attachment to Europe. Russia is historically bound to Europe through centuries of cultural, social and economic development. These ties, though temporarily broken in the twentieth century, could have been revived following the fall of the Communist era when Russia held out her hand in friendship. It was pure self interest and malice on the part of Washington that ensured Russia remained on both the geographical and economic fringes of Europe, and a desire to see Russia destroyed, the results of which we are witnessing today in Ukraine.

So, where to now for the UK? For Europe? Sergei Lavrov made that now much used statement that Russia does not see any country as its enemy, only their governments. That said, there is a glimmer of hope, but it will need more than the will of the people to rid us of these miscreants, masquerading as governments. The doomsday clock is ticking, the death rattle of the west replaces anthems of once national pride. Peter the Great’s window to the west is slowly closing – we cannot remain on the outside peering through the glass at the rest of the world as they move on successfully without us. It is indeed a stark choice, yet the choice is remarkably simple. Next time we are asked to jump, we politely walk on by, otherwise the biblical prophecy of Psalm 58.10 will surely come to pass”.
