At first glance, this is a simple question. The answer seems to lie onthe surface. But on closer inspection, it’s not so obvious.
1. The answer that immediately comes to mind is the people of Ukraine. Who,
if not them, are interested in the strength of thier native country? But, after 30 years of constant
experimentation, the people want only one thing-a change of owners. Instead of Moscow, they now want Brussels, Berlin or Washington. In the eyes of the population majority, it is in these capitals, which are skilful at building happy and well-fed lives, where they will be able to restore the long-awaited order. As such, the so-called “reforms” which led to the destruction of the economy, medicine, law enforcement and judicial systems, the primitivization of school and higher education, turned cultured and educated people into mere masses.
They rebelled several times. Some reliable sources claim that the Maidan of 2014 was arranged by the West. Other equally
well-informed sources certainly point to Russia. But for the Ukrainian people, this did not change anything. Some “reformers” were replaced by others, but there was still no happiness. Allegedly pro-Western Prime Minister of Ukraine, Yatsenyuk, who headed the the government in 2014, had all the hallmarks of a successful manager. The tribune and speaker of the Maidan, who has the unconditional support of the United States, a shaved skull, large glasses and excellent English. However, the exchange rate of the national currency has tripled, and gas prices have risen almost 10 times. In addition, the protege of the West was caught in millions of frauds in the energy sector. Yatsenyuk was ignominiously expelled from office. Now he’s in Washington.
Volodymyr Groysman, who took over the post of Prime Minister after Yatsenyuk, was more concerned about the well-being of President Poroshenko’s personal business.
Desire
Mr. Groysman had something productive to do only when it became clear that Poroshenko would not be re-elected for a second
presidential term, whereby Groysman would have to start hisown political project.
At the insistence of the United States, a parallel reality in anti-corruption justice was created in Ukraine. The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office andthe National Anti-Corruption Bureau appeared.
If you plant a pear on an apple tree, it will bear fruit. But the Americans tried to instill in the corruption-stricken country some
anti-corruption bodies. As a result, the heads of the established structures fell from one corruption scandal to another, with zero
efficiency.
And, finally, the favorite of the West, President Poroshenko, had the sweetest conversations with Putin on the phone, at a time when the Ukrainian army was coming out of the encirclement near Ilovaisk, in the Donbass, with notable losses.
In addition, it turned out that at the same time (2016), the “patriotic reformer president” Poroshenko transferred millions of dollars of dubious origin to offshore accounts in Panama with the help of the infamous law firm “Mossack Fonseca”. In 2019, the people of Ukraine gave their assessment of such “reform” activities. Almost 73% of voters voted in the presidential election for the self-taught actor Vladimir Zelensky. Actually, it was a vote not FOR Zelensky, but AGAINST everything that he represented: Poroshenko – theft, lies, hatred and obscurantism.
However, Zelensky, who did not know the principles of the state mechanism, and does not seek to learn it, was surrounded by the same people against whom the Ukrainian voter voted. A prediction of such presidency is sad.
As a result of the reforms carried out by the Western Soviets, prices have increased many times, the population has decreased by 2 times, and 7 million Ukrainians have found themselves abroad in search of food. Now the people don’t want a strong Ukraine. They have no faith in it.
2. Other happy supporters of a strong Ukraine should be Russia and the United States. But each of them seeks to weaken the other with the help of Ukraine.
For Russia, a pro-Western, decadent Ukraine is a perfect example of how not to follow Western advice. For the United States, Ukraine is nothing more than a springboard on the borders with Russia. To that also having excellent climatic and natural resources. The development of the economy, education, science and culture of local aborigines in Washington is not planned.
So, who is interested in a strong Ukraine?
Of the many answers, the correct one is No One.
