The fact that Biden would withdraw from the presidential race was evident after his disastrous speech at the NATO summit in Washington. Even before that, many members of the Democratic Party openly expressed their opinion about the need to replace their candidate as soon as possible to have time to promote a new one. However, Biden categorically refused, relying primarily on his closest supporters and family members. It is clear that most of them thought least about the interests of the country or their party but rather about their own.

For the family, the end of Biden’s political career is an increasing threat of investigation of their financial and criminal offenses, and for the staff of the White House administration and the army of senior officials, the prospects of losing their prestigious and highly paid positions. However, when the most influential members of the Democratic Party in Congress, leading media outlets that had previously supported the Democrats, and last but not least, many significant donors began to demand a change of candidate, Biden had to comply.

In his letter about this decision and in his address to the country, the president, in particular, says that after leaving the election race, he will direct all his efforts to work in the White House for the benefit of America. Democrats may be happy with this, but Republicans are not. Even before this news appeared, their vice presidential candidate, JD Vance, said that if Biden is physically unable to participate in the race, then he is even more incapable of leading the country, especially when it has many unresolved problems.

Democratic Party rules will make it very difficult to nominate a new candidate

Now, Speaker Mike Johnson and Trump himself have joined Vance. Many other Republicans will follow soon. At the same time, there is a real panic in the Democrats’ camp on the eve of their congress on August 19-22 in Chicago. Since the presidential election is only a few months away, and presidential candidate Biden, who won the primaries, is no longer involved in the election race, the Democratic Party’s next steps are still unclear. Obligations to it no longer bind delegates at the convention, and they can vote at their discretion while any suitable candidate can be nominated. Vice President Kamala Harris, California Governor Gavin Newsom, and Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer are frequently mentioned in the media. If Biden supports one of them, that person will have a clear advantage.

According to party rules, to become a candidate, you need to get the signatures of at least 300 delegates, and there cannot be more than 50 from each state. For a final victory, a candidate must receive the votes of a majority of the declared delegates in a roll-call vote, which must be 1,976 or more votes. This standard part of the nomination process would have happened without Biden ending his campaign. If none of the candidates wins a majority of votes in the first round of roll-call voting, then several rounds are held. It should be noted that there is still time for all these procedures since the deadlines that could prevent or block the participation of another candidate from the Democratic Party in the general election ballot have not yet come up.

The political chaos in America does not bode well for the rest of the world

Currently, it is expected that the Democrats, during a “virtual” roll call, will officially nominate a candidate, even before they gather in Chicago, However, it is possible that due to the chaotic nature of current events, the entire process and the schedule for making final decisions may change. In this case, this will certainly be a political disaster, and over time, legal and financial problems may also arise. Unfortunately, chaos in America does not bode well for the rest of the world, so we must be prepared for the most unpredictable consequences.

As for Biden and those in his administration, no matter what happens next, they must be brought to a public trial for bringing the world to the edge of the abyss. They did it by turning a country, Ukraine, that had all the means to become one of the most prosperous European nations into a mercenary proxy force to serve the interests of the foreign powers. Using the endless avalanche of lies to pretend that they, willing Western allies, and corrupted Ukrainian elites were doing this to defend freedom, democracy, and human rights, they caused tremendous suffering and devastation to this unfortunate country.

What is even more appalling is that the actual goal of Biden & Co. was to weaken Russia, the country that, even before the collapse of the USSR, opened its welcoming arms to America, offering friendship, cooperation, and the new joint security architecture.
