During that time, the Biden family has amassed a fortune. According to some critics of the Biden family, much of that fortune was gotten through engaging in pay-to-play scandals around the world: leveraging Joe Biden’s various jobs in government to get foreign or big corporate donors to fund the Biden family’s various political activities (with the family receiving a cut of the proceeds).
While these have been little more than rumors, in the run-up to the contentious 2020 presidential election, it is believed that a personal laptop belonging to Hunter was dropped off at a computer repair shop in Delaware. Once the technician repairing the computer realized that the laptop was Hunter Biden’s and it was chock full of inappropriate images and other data pertaining to Hunter’s illicit activities, it became known as the “Laptop from Hell.” It also became the source of major political controversy, as many believed it was the key to stopping Joe Biden from ascending to the presidency.
In fact, during the 2020 presidential election, as the Laptop from Hell was becoming widely known to the public, a coordinated wave of media censorship about the story and the contents of the laptop was implemented.

This was done to protect the only viable candidate who could potentially defeat Donald Trump in 2020.
Had people gotten a clear look at the information housed within the Laptop from Hell; had Americans discovered the truth about the Biden family’s perfidious dealings while Joe Biden served in government, they may very well have not voted for Biden over Trump (at least that’s what several polls have shown since the 2020 election and revelations of the cover-up about Hunter Biden’s laptop came out).
The Hunter Biden story, however, is far more than just another story of a politician’s bent kid going off the reservation.
Hunter Biden served as a “consultant” for multiple foreign ventures, in places like Ukraine and China, wherein he interacted with top leaders of those governments and the business community of those countries—eventuating in gobs of money being given to Hunter for his (non) expertise in things like Ukrainian natural gas development.
What was likely happening was that Hunter was using his family name to gain access to powerful people in these countries and demanding money from those people in exchange for the support of Joe Biden on whatever issues the people with money in those countries cared about.
Of course, this is speculation.
But, investigations at the congressional level would help to clarify and enlighten the public about just what Hunter was doing overseas and whether he was representing the interests of his father.
While in Ukraine, for example, Hunter sat on the board of a natural gas company called Burisma where he was paid an astonishing $11 million from 2013-18 to provide a service he was not qualified to provide.
Flash forward to 2023 and the United States finds itself risking nuclear world war with the Russian Federation over the fate of Ukraine because Washington has committed itself to limitless lethal aid to Ukraine.
All of this of course creates a lot of questions. Some might ask: Is the Biden Administration doing this because it believes it is in the best national interests of the United States? Or is it being done because the Biden family reaped millions of dollars from the Ukrainians for years? Was that money some kind of down payment from Ukraine’s embattled government on a future moment when Kyiv would require military aid with no strings attached?
While Joe Biden was serving as President Barack Obama’s vice-president, Hunter Biden traveled to China aboard Air Force Two. Once in China, as then-Vice-President Joe Biden met with his Chinese counterpart, Hunter met with a Chinese investment banker known as Jonathan Li. Hunter claimed he had met Li “for a cup of coffee” but, as the BBC notes, 12 days thereafter, a new private equity fund, BHR, was created by Jonathan Li and Hunter Biden was put on its board—receiving around a10 percent stake in the firm.
Today, the Biden Administration finds itself having to contend with an increasingly belligerent China. Despite some occasional bellicose words from the White House, the actions of the Biden Administration have been insufficient for the geostrategic challenge that China is posing to the United States.
A few weeks ago, a Chinese spy balloon traversed the entirety of the United States before President Biden finally decided to shoot it down. This was followed by several other strange events in the skies above the United States, which some believe were the result of further Chinese incursions.
Again – as with the Ukraine situation as noted above – this all creates a lot of questions: Why did President Biden wait so long to retaliate against China for violating our sovereign airspace? Was it concern about escalating into war or was it because the money the Chinese had given to Hunter was meant to secure Joe Biden’s compliance with China’s wishes whenever he was in a government office?
That these questions even must be asked about a sitting American president are bad enough. But, the circumstances surrounding Hunter Biden are extraordinary. Therefore, it behooves the Republican-controlled House of Representatives to dedicate a considerable amount of its time resolving the matter of Hunter Biden and what criminality he—and his family—have gotten into.
Because this corruption is more than just your possible headache for a potential reelection, this level of wrongdoing may mean that US national security has been violated and that Hunter Biden (and possibly his father) are national security threats.
It’s time that the Republicans in Congress take up this call and begin immediate investigations into Hunter Biden to determine just how compromised both and the rest of his family are. Given the contents of the Laptop from Hell, it is most unlikely that anyone will much like the answers.
